In November & December, our NSW Team shone with incredible results from so many events! These include:
November 1st: The Dangar Island Cocktail Party at Peter Wolfe & Lynda Dryden's beautiful Balinese home! They raised over $4,000! A huge thankyou to these wonderful hosts with palm oil free food and delicious cocktails! Thank you to Phoebe, Deb Sunarthra & friend Deb for volunteering.
November 15th: Orangutan Awareness Day at Surry Hills. We raised $664.00, a great effort due to the small amount of people who came, so well done volleys & thankyou to all who came & helped!
November 23rd: Avoca Market's TOP Stall: Thanks so much to Deb & her daughter Aryani for working at this stall to raise over $600!
December 2nd: Leif Cock's Talk
This event at the Hotel Paragon went like clockwork thanks to my loyal volunteers, thankyou all so much for making this such a special day with Leif. Thank you very much to Jenny Donnelly for arranging the merchandise etc as usual, always a BIG job for any event. Acacia did a fine job transporting the merchandise & taking it home for the following night at Taronga Zoo's event. Leif's Talk was so full of new information, very inspiring. We raised $1,356, & met new interested people who want to help TOP now.
December 3rd: Taronga Zoo's TOP Christmas Party: This event was the highlight of Leif's short visit to Sydney, raising $8,243.50! A BIG thankyou to Michael Trian for organising it, & to Phoebe & Acacia for working on the stall all night, I'm so proud of you!
We will continue to do more fund raising & Anne Biddle & myself will also continue our Talks at various Schools, & Business Groups to keep spreading the word to help orangutans through TOP.
