This Winter has been a quiet time for NSW, but we have many ideas we will have discussed during our August Meeting including:
A Trivia Night and an Indonesian Restaurant fund raiser for volunteers and friends. I will give more details in the next eNews.I have new volunteers including Uni students now, which is awesome.
International Orangutan Day:
My piano students raised $211 for this special day by buying and selling pink lady chocolate frogs and bilbies and spreading the word about TOP at their schools.
Cruelty Free Festival, October 25th:
This wonderful opportunity to meet new like-minded people is coming up soon, at the Australian Technology Park, (ATP) Exhibition Centre, 2 Locomotive St Eveleigh which is close to Redfern station. I do have some volunteers, please let me know if you want to help.
Rain Forest Benefit Night:
I am busy organising our exciting Rain Forest Benefit Night on Novmeber 7th at the Occidental Hotel, York Street in Sydney, where Leif Cocks and many of our State Reps will be there to meet and mingle with my volunteers and friends. Leif will give us all the valuable updates on the Rain Forests status with a power point presentation. The Clarke Family will be there with Rodney Clarke as MC and Auctioneer! The band "Furious Five" will entertain you, and special guest Louise Grossfeldt will speak about her new book "Our Primate Family". More information available here, or please email me also on gail.browning@orangutan.org.au with any questions, so far 30 people are attending, everyone is welcome!
