February was a challenging month for poor little Sudin. After experiencing recurring fevers, vomiting, and a sudden collapse following Jungle School, he was evacuated to headquarters in Jambi city for intensive care.

What initially seemed like a seasonal flu turned out to be Strongyloides Hyperinfection Syndrome—a severe, life-threatening condition caused by an aggressive worm infection. It can often affect individuals with weakened immune systems. This led to complications including digestive issues, lung inflammation, and heart problems.
Thankfully, after thorough medical treatment and monitoring, Sudin’s condition has stabilised. His test results (USG, EKG, X-ray, and blood work) have returned to normal, and he has been moved to a larger treatment enclosure. His diet is being carefully adjusted, as he initially preferred only soft fruits like grapes and longan due to abdominal discomfort.
For now, Sudin is taking things slow, resting in his nest during the mornings and becoming more active later in the day. This shift is likely due to post-therapy stress, changes in his sleep cycle, and the emotional strain of being separated from his close companion Siti. Once his appetite fully returns and he can handle a normal diet, he will be ready to return to Jungle School, where he can reunite with Siti.
